About SBE

The department was established in 1976. The department seeks excellence in the fields of Biomedical engineering in terms of education, scientific research and innovation through the creation and transfer of knowledge in hopes of achieving the highest level of individuals’ health and the service of the healthcare system in the community. The department appeals to a qualified graduate who is capable of interacting with the problems and challenges of the health field by honing the cognitive and engineering abilities of students and fostering and encouraging creative thinking. Various courses are taught in physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, electrical, mechanical, computer and medical sciences. The department is distinguished by its diverse scientific disciplines, with special emphasis in the fields of medical application programming, medical imaging and biomedical information.
